Deadline looms for having your say on housing plans

First published in News

RESIDENTS have limited time to give their views on housing plans for where they live.

Fareham Borough Council is consulting on its Development Sites and Policies Plan, which will then be examined by a planning inspector later this year.

At this stage residents can only comment on whether the plan meets “soundness” criteria, such as meeting national guidelines and whether it was prepared in line with legal requirements.

Any representations will be forwarded to the planning inspector.

The deadline is 5pm on April 11.

To see the plan email planningpolicy@fareham.gov.uk, request by post to Planning and Environment, Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, Hampshire, PO16 7AZ or for more details call 01329 236100.

lowe esteem says...

Stop this madness.
Fix and maintain the existing roads.
Refurbish and replenish the infrastructure so that it starts to cope with the existing VOLUME and DENSITY of traffic.
Then, maybe, we can talk about these THOUSANDS of houses.
Fareham BC is behaving like a greedy and spoilt child, forever doing 'deals' for more, without ever satisfying or completing it's original brief.
We might as well have a "Dotto" train plying it's way along from Bridgemary to the Town Centre -Toytown policies in a grown up and worn out area.
