AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed of his trainers by a gang of men.

The youngster was sitting the kerbside in The Quadrangle in Eastleigh at 12.30pm on Sunday, when the five young men pounced.

One man forcibly lifted up the youth's legs, pulled the trainers off his feet, before putting them in a bag and running off with the others along Arthur Road.

The Cabrini trainers are luminous yellow, blue and white and size three to three-and-a-half.

Police want to track down a woman seen in the area who may hold clues in identifying the group.

Police staff investigator Elaine Waller said: “We'd really like to hear from her as she may have vital information.

“If you have recently been offered these trainers for sale or know anyone who has suddenly acquired a pair please contact us.”
