Main road closure in Southampton
A main road in central Southampton will be closed overnight tomorrow.
Part of Mountbatten Way eastbound will be shut from tomorrow night into the early hours of Friday.
It is to allow construction traffic access to the railway lines west of Central railway station ahead of major work on the lines between the station and Redbridge.
As previously reported, no services will go through Central station during weekends from March 16 to May 4 due to the £20m project.
The closure tomorrow night will affect the section of road between West Quay Road and Southern Road.
