A SECTION of a Southampton road will be closed for three weeks.

The westbound side of Paynes Road will be closed from March 17 to April 7 for bridge maintenance. The closure will affect the section of the road between Waterloo Road and Millbrook Road West.

Also, there's probably some obscure discrepancy in the finer points of the geography, that mean this isn't actually in Southampton at all. Southy will be along shortly to rectify by quoting from Southy's Big Book of Facts.

You report the road will be closed, but fail to mention the lane closure that currently already exists, and has done so for a few days...
If the road is totally closed between the mentioned dates and therefore NO access at all to Millbrook Road East, dual carriageway from Paynes Road, it would have been a better article worthy of a read, had you bothered to find out the diversionary route and reported that too.....
