THIEVES have snatched medals belonging to a former Royal Marine.
They broke in to a Hampshire home, through the front door taking seven medals along with a silver Apple Macbook laptop, an iPad, personal documentation and a Nike watch.
The 51-year-old's medals each included his name, rank and service number, P039306F.
The medals, taken from a property in Sennen Place, Port Solent, are a Bosnia service medal, Falklands medal, medal from the first Gulf war, a long service and good conduct medal, a Nato service medal, Northern Ireland medal and a Queens silver jubilee medal.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary, which happened between 7.10am and 5.10pm on March 10, or anyone with information to call PC Kevin Burnand at Fratton police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
