MORE fog is causing disruption to air flights and ferry services in Hampshire this morning.

For the second morning in a row, a thick blanket of fog has settled over the county, with drivers warned to take care on county roads this morning.

Wightlink services from Lymington to Yarmouth have been suspended, while the Portsmouth to Fishbourne service is delayed by 30 minutes.

Red Funnel's Red Jet ferry service from Southampton to Cowes has also been replaced with a shuttle service.

The first three flights into Southampton Airport this morning - from Guernsey and Jersey - have also been cancelled due to the fog, as well as flights to and from Glasgow and Belfast.

A number of other flights have been delayed.

Outbound flights are currently unaffected.

The Met Office currently has a yellow weather warning out due to the fog, which it expects to lift by 11am.

In its warning, the agency says: “Fog is expected to become widespread and locally dense again through Thursday night and Friday morning. Visibility is likely to fall below 100 metres at times, locally less than 50 metres.

“The public should be aware of the likelihood of difficult driving conditions and some travel disruption.”
