Plans are in place to change speed limits on the A27
HAMPSHIRE’S road chiefs plan to impose new 40mph and 50mph speed limits on the A27 in the Sherfield English and Shootash areas.
If approved, a new 50mph restriction will be applied on the A27 between the end of existing 40mph limit near the junction of Embley Lane at Shootash and just east of the Gardeners Lane junction.
Another 50mph zone will be introduced between Frenches Lane at Shootash and Branches Lane at Sherfield English and the existing 40mph limit through Shootash will be extended further west along the A27 to include the Frenches Lane junction.
