POLICE have arrested a woman on suspicion of arson after a fire at a secure mental health unit in Southampton.
Five people needed treatment for smoke inhalation when the fire broke out in one of the bedrooms in Antelope House in St Mary’s.
One woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital while 30 patients were evacuated from the mental health unit’s ward.
Around 40 firefighters from across the city fought the blaze which broke out at 7.11pm on Wednesday.
A 36 year-old woman from Fareham has been arrested and bailed until May 8.
