A HAMPSHIRE off-licence has been banned from selling alcohol after serving under-age customers.

First Stop in West Street, Portchester, had its licence revoked at a hearing on Wednesday.

It follows an undercover sting by police during which two under-18s were sold alcohol in two test purchases in November and December last year following further suspicions that staff served a minor.

Fareham Borough Council’s licensing panel enforced the order brought before them by police and Hampshire County Council.

The company was given 21 days to appeal before the order is imposed on Wednesday, April 2.
