IT’S one of the most important lessons a child can learn – how to save a life.
Hampshire mum Hayley Stockford has been teaching children emergency medical skills as part of her efforts to raise £1,800 for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
A resuscitation officer for the NHS, she ran free classes at West Totton Community Centre along with cake and book stalls and a raffle that raised more than £500.
She said: “I was chuffed as I never expected that much. I hoped to get around £400. I am so grateful to everyone who came along.”
Hayley, a 39-year-old mum from Totton, is also running the London Marathon in April.
So far she has raised more than £1,400. To sponsor her visit uk.virginmone
