A MAN has been arrested after a bus and two cars were involved in a crash in Southampton.

Fire crews had to cut two people from the wreckage after the collision between the single decker First bus, a Renault Clio and a Vauxhall Meriva.

The incident happened at about 7.15pm on Saturday in Commercial Road.

Both of the motorists – one a 19-year-old man and the other a 52-year-old man – were taken to Southampton General Hospital by paramedics.

A passenger on the bus also took themselves to hospital for treatment to a neck injury.

A police spokesman described their injuries as “minor”.

Police also confirmed that one of the drivers had been arrested, but refused to confirm any other details.
