88-year-old died after fall
A HAMPSHIRE woman died three weeks after suffering a fall at her nursing home, an inquest heard.
Audrey Hood, 88, was alone when she fell in her bedroom at Oaklands Rest Home, in Veals Lane, Marchwood, on December 4, fracturing her ribs and leaving her with a pain in her right hip.
She was twice admitted to Southampton General Hospital in the following weeks and then discharged.
She was found dead on December 31.
Southampton coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of accidental death.
