POLICE are hunting witnesses after a woman pedestrian was left with serious head injuries in a road collision.

Just after 10:50am on March 18, a blue Citroen C3 was involved in a collision with the woman at the junction of Cambridge Road and Hartington Road.

The 59-year-old, from Gosport is being treated for a serious head injury at Southampton General Hospital. The driver, a 74-year-old man from Gosport, and his 67-year-old passenger were uninjured.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Sergeant Alex Rawdon Smith at Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
