Passenger cut from wreckage as Audi A4 hits post

A YOUNG man had to be cut from a car after it struck a post on a city traffic calming measure.

Crews from St Mary's Fire Station removed the injured passenger from the crashed Audi A4 on Weston Parade in Southampton last night at about 7.30pm last night.

An ambulance crew then took him to Southampton General Hospital where he was being treated for non threatening injuries.

Should read, 'after he incompetently drove it into a post'.

The traffic calming measures are well signed and lit. You'd have to be a bear of very little brain to stuff it up along that road.
