POLICE are hunting a hit and run driver who left a stricken moped rider lying seriously injured on a Hampshire main road.
The 62-year-old victim from Fareham came off his black Piaggio bike when in collision with a small car in Western Road, Cosham.
The car carried on towards Portsmouth.
Meanwhile the injured man was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital where he remains in intensive care with severe head injuries.
Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident at 2.50pm on Sunday, March 16, to contact Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101 or online at hampshire.police.uk.
