A BABY had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped in a car.

The one-year-old boy locked himself into the vehicle at Badger Farm Sainsbury’s, Winchester, as his parents were loading the car.

A crew from Winchester fire station managed to open the car within minutes at 5.30pm on Saturday.

Watch manager Chris Roper said: “The keys had been left in the car and the parents had closed the door to stop the boy falling out.

But it seems he stood on the keys and locked them out.”
