TODAY’S the day when wannabe pop stars across Hampshire can launch their bid for stardom.
X Factor auditions roll into WestQuay in Southampton as the TV show hunts for the next James Arthur, One Direction or Sam Bailey.
Show judge, pop star Cheryl Cole, has issued some tips to those taking part today.
She said: “If you do something original or a good remix that makes people sit up and listen, that’s always a good start.
“Do some research. Find unique ways of singing songs we’re aware of.”
This year’s competition is the biggest and widest audition search, with the number of venues increasing from 27 to 43.
The mobile audition will be at WestQuay today from 10am to 3.30pm, or 4.30pm for those in fulltime education. All entrants must be aged 16 or over.
