The pair have been remanded to appear in Winchester Crown Court on Friday for another hearing in Court 4.



Jonathan and Samuel McKinley stood briefly to confirm their names at the two minute hearing.

Jonathan, 22, wore a black top while Samuel, 25, wearing a black puffer jacket and pink t-shirt, refused to confirm where he lived then said no fixed abode.


Tributes have been pouring for Mr Zishan from friends and family.

As reported by the Daily Echo, Mr Zishan’s business partner, Barry Isaac, 64, told how he heard something had happened at around 6am on Sunday.

He said: “I presumed he was sick or unwell and came to open up, but felt to myself something wasn’t quite right.

“I just can’t believe it’s happened. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Mr Isaac hailed Mr Zishan as a “lovely man” and added: “You couldn’t ask for a better person.

“He was really looking forward to the new baby and was often talking about his little boy.”

The brothers are charged with murdering Eastleigh newsagent Choudhry Zishan as he left for work from his flat above Newsmarket in Eastleigh High Street.


Reporters Maxwell Kusi-Obodum and Rebecca Pearson have arrived in Southampton magistrates court gor hearing of Jonathan and Samuel McKinley.

Both men are in the cells.
