A LORRY crash on a major Hampshire road has lead to long delays this lunch time.

A spokesman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said a heavy goods vehicle collided with a Transit van pushing it against the central reservation on the A31 near Ringwood.

The incident took place around 11am.

Firefighters on the scene released a male driver from the transit van.

No one is believed to have been injured during the collision.

The road reopened around 12.40pm, but long delays remained, with reports of some traffic being stuck for as much as an hour.
