Paraglider rescued after crashing into cliff on Isle of Wight

A PARAGLIDER had to be rescued after crashing into a cliff.

The paraglider was forced to make an emergency landing on a 100-foot high cliff at Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight.

The man, whose name and age is not known, called the coastguard team to say that he needed assistance.

A spokesperson for Solent Coastguard said the paraglider was stuck on the cliff, and a rope rescue team were dispatched to the area to rescue him.

The man was then checked by police and the Solent Coastguard team, and he suffered no injuries.

Of course not. If the rescue service didn't get a call like this they would have to simulate it for training. I bet they had a really satisfying day out.
