HE battled back to overcome life-threatening brain injuries from a horrific car crash.

Now Ben Wagon has defied the odds again by completing the London Marathon.

Doctors feared the Royal Navy aviation engineer would never survive, let alone walk again after he sustain-ed major brain injuries in a car crash in October 2011 which killed his girlfriend Justine Emblin-Butler and left him in a coma.

But on Sunday, Ben, 25, from Southampton, crossed the finish line in a remark-able three hours, 45 minutes.

He has already raised £1,100 for the Help For Heroes charity which runs the military rehabilitation centres which have helped his recovery. He said: “It was a fantastic experience.”
