Debtors urged to seek professional advice

PEOPLE in the south-east would rather speak to family about debt worries than a professional, a study has found.

Research from the insolvency trade body R3 has revealed that 42 per cent of people would approach a family member for help with financial worries, while only 14 per cent that would choose to talk to an advisor.

James Stares, of R3, urged anyone with debt worries to seek professional help as soon as possible.
