SATURDAY tickets are now sold out for this year's Isle of Wight Festival.

Festival promoter John Giddings said he is “hardly surprised” Saturday tickets were the first to sell out, with Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining.

The legendary festival, which takes place between June 12 and 15, boats headline appearances from Kings of Leon and Biffy Clyro, plus DJ Calvin Harris, who closes the show on Friday night.

Throughout the weekend festival goers will be treated to performances from Suede, Rudimental, Fall Out Boy, Katy B, Tom Odell, Travis, Boy George, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont and many more.

Campers can soak up the atmosphere in hot tubs with Bathing Under the Sky, and discover a world of surprised in the Bohemian Woods.

There will be a real beach with all the fun and games of the seaside, combined with live music, DJs and cocktails, while the Intoxicated Tea Rooms promises to give a whole new meaning to high tea.

Mr Giddings said: “I am hardly surprised that the Saturday day tickets are the first to sell out.

“The level of excitement for the Red Hot Chili Peppers has been huge since we announced their exclusive appearance this summer, but there are 99 other bands (at least) to enjoy, so come on the Thursday and make it a long weekend.”

Weekend tickets are still available from isleofwightfestival.com.
