ANIMAL rescue experts had to rescue a puppy that had got itself trapped in a sofa bed.

The four-month-old Border Terrier was trapped in the mechanism of the sofa bed at a home in Burnetts Lane, West End at 7.30pm last night.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue's animal rescue adviser used manual manipulation to quickly release the puppy and return it to its owner unharmed.
