Residents object to bar's bid for late night licence
A FORMER Indian restaurant in Southampton could be transformed into a bar.
Giuliano Soverna’s plans for Fortune, based in Oxford Street, will go before city council licensing bosses this week.
He has applied for a late night licence to sell alcohol from 11pm to 12.30am on the site, which used to be Rasraj restaurant.
A number of people living near the site have objected to the proposals, saying they are concerned about the potential increase in noise at the venue late at night.
The city council’s licensing committee will discuss Mr Soverna’s plans at its meeting on Thursday.
