They give you a basic description eg skin colour to prompt your memory so if you've seen anything you can report it. There is no racism or malice in it. If this is how you've read it you are the one with racist thoughts. Btw they also said the attacker was white, is that wrong to.
I hope the girl gets over this and is not traumatised for life. If anyone saw this or knows the attacker please shop the to the police these people need to be behind bars.

Don't you think it might help in terms of possible sightings for potential witnesses.
Maybe it's just you and people like you that see something racist in the slightest mention of creed or colour. Hence the reason we in Britain end up with stupid laws and police officers to scared to carry out their work through fear of being labeled racists
I hope the young lady gets all the help and support she needs and the offender is taken off the street ASAP

I agree that the girls skin colour would act as a part description of her, perhaps helping anyone to remember seeing her, however, there was a much more detailed description of the attacker, making the girls description seem like only one detail mattered. When read first time, this article seemed as if it could have been worded a lot better. Like I said, poor journalism.

They're looking for people who saw the man approach the girl, not necessarily the attack. You may have wandered past several young girls being spoken to by a man. It would certainly help if you knew which one was the important one to remember.

Although id have thought a description including what she was wearing would be helpful also (although I appreciate asking for anyone who saw a black girl at 5 am would job memories but to follow it up with wearing a white coat or a dress or whatever would have been more thorough). Im lucky my kids are so young because there is no way my 17 year old would be at a party till 5am and walking home alone. Id rather pick up in middle of the night than allow such possibilities to happen. Glad she got away and hope she gets counselling and help that she needs x

To be fair he is right, how many sexual assaults on young lady's have been reported on these very pages in the last year.

And traffic, seems at least every week the is reports of really bad gridlocked roads.
