FIREFIGHTERS were called to a suspected fire at a school last night.
A crew from St Mary's fire station went to Sholing Infant School after a member of the public reported seeing flames at 8.20pm yesterday.
But on arrival firefighters found it was a controlled bonfire which had been lit behind the school in Middle Road.
Meanwhile firefighters in the New Forest tackled a kitchen blaze.
They were called to the fire at a bungalow in New Milton and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one jet and a ventilation fan to put out the flames.
Two crews of 10 firefighters attended the incident at 7.15pm yesterday.
