STUDENTS staged a one-off event to raise money for charity.

The Street Arts programme from the University of Winchester held the Kick Arts event from 11am until 3.30pm yesterday in a bid to raise cash for Sutton Scotney-based children’s hospice Naomi House.

It brought together a range of societies from across the university, and included yoga workshops, the Winchester Spirits cheerleading society, break-dancers, circus workshops and face painting.

The free event aimed to connect students with the local community, and stemmed from the Rotaract Club and the Street Arts programme.
