FORMER Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne was jailed for it, but hundreds of thousands of drivers are guilty of point-swapping.
A study carried out by Slater & Gordon has revealed that 5.7 per cent of 2,265 motorists had been asked to take points for someone else.
A third, which translates to 1.9 per cent, or 798,000 of the 42 million registered DVLA drivers, agreed to do so. Huhne, pictured, 58, and his ex-wife Vicky Price, 60, who took his speeding points, were both sentenced to eight months in jail last year for perverting the course of justice.
