THE dream of building an environmentally friendly outdoor classroom at a Hampshire school is one step closer thanks to a donation from a building firm.

Pupils at Milford-on-Sea Primary School will be able to work and play in the “eco pod”, which will be made from a recycled shipping container, with a solar panel roof and recycled tyres as planters.

It will feature recycled habitat panels for nesting birds, reclaimed desks for the children to work from and the outside will be decked and professionally landscaped to complement the existing school grounds.

Chris Warner, sales director of Antler Homes which donated £250, said: “Antler Homes is delighted to support the eco pod project at Milford-on-Sea Primary School.”
