IT’s been billed as a sexy, witty and inventive take on a classic Gilbert and Sullivan work.

People in Winchester had a taste of the latest show to hit the Theatre Royal’s stage, HMS Pinafore, which has taken London’s West End by storm with its choreography, libretto and set staged below the deck on a Second World War ship.

The entire cast took to the streets to perform snippets of the master playwrights’ work, all in a bid to promote the show which is running from May 5-10. The story explores the age old conundrum of love between social classes.
