A TEENAGER who is battling cancer is taking to the catwalk.
Isobel Bristow, of Hythe, will model for milliner Shirley Davis at South Coast Fashion Week.
The 16-year-old has been treated at the new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Southampton General Hospital, which was funded following a campaign backed by the Daily Echo.
Isobel is among a group of current and former young patients who will be modelling during Fasion Week, which ends on Sunday.
It has been taking place at Bournemouth International Centre and is being run in partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The event will help raise the Teenage Cancer Trust’s profile. The public helped it reach its £2.4m target last year to fund the new state-of-the-art children’s cancer unit in Southampton, which was opened by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, in December.
The ten-bed unit was designed in collaboration with former young cancer patients to have a home-fromhome feel with a lounge, pool table, television, jukebox, wi-fi access and a kitchen.
