A TEAM of pupils from a Hampshire school proved their life-saving skills by securing a place in the final of a first aid competition.
Children from Wykeham House School in Fareham beat other schools in the region to get to the national finals in Staffordshire on June 25.
Teenagers Samantha Cooper, Jodie Ballard, Emily Clubley, Esme McKeown, and Abbie Winnicott made up the winning team.
The schoolchildren had to show their initiative, communication skills and confidence when applying first aid in challenging emergency scenarios such as treating severe bleeding, a bee sting or asthma attack.
