A waste management boss from Fareham has raised £2,350 in memory of his father.
John Gosling, pictured above, from the TJ group in Fareham, ran the 26.2 mile Brighton Marathon to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
The 47-year-old was running in memory of his father, David, pictured, right, who died two years ago from the disease.
A total of 100 runners took part in the marathon for Parkinson’s UK and altogether they have raised £75,000.
John’s donation will now be used to help the charity’s researchers who are seeking a cure for Parkinson’s.
He said: “I would like to give 2,350 thank yous to everyone who made donations. I successfully completed the marathon in a personal best of 3 hours 26 minutes, which made all the hours of training worthwhile.”
