A POLICE force has appointed a new Assistant Chief Constable.
Northumbria Police's new ACC Winton Keenen began his career as PC on patrol in Sunderland North in 1985 and has since held several roles including senior investigating officer for homicide, strategic firearms commander and hostage negotiation.
Chief Constable Sue Sim said: “I am confident we have appointed someone who will add considerable further strength to the existing Chief Officer Team and be a valuable asset to them.”
ACC Keenen added: “I am very proud to be part of the Chief Officer Team of Northumbria Police and to remain with the force I joined 29 years ago.”
