BOMB disposal teams were deployed to a Southampton building site after contractors discovered what they thought was an unexploded bomb.
Hampshire police confirmed they were called by workers just before 9.30am this morning at the Central Bridge construction site at Terminus Terrace after they discovered a metal object which they believed could have been a bomb.
Specialist bomb disposal teams assessed the object and determined that it was not a bomb and posed no risk to the public.
