Arsonist target bottle bank
ARSONISTS set fire to a bottle bank on a Southampton housing estate last night.
The recycling receptacle was set alight in Byron Road, Thornhill, at 7pm.
A crews from Hightown fire station arrived to put out the flames with a hose.
The fire caused minor damage to the unit.
Watch manager Nev Lewendon said: “We want to warn people that while being called out to something like this we could be saving lives.”
