A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a blaze at a block of flats in Hampshire this evening.

Firefighters from across Hampshire were called to Gosport where flames could be seen coming from a derelict block of flats at around 7.45pm.

Crews from Hightown, Fareham, Gosport and Havant had the blaze at Nimrod Drive extinguished within 45 minutes.

No one was injured.

Officers are currently investigating the cause of the fire and have confirmed that they have arrested a 16-year-old on suspicion of arson.
