THEY have taken massive steps towards helping a Hampshire charity.
Three Southampton runners have raised more than £15,000 for Wessex Cancer Trust (WCT).
Lloyd Fitzgerald, Dan Gateshill and Jon Course spent the past year fundraising and training for the Virgin London Marathon.
Having completed the marathon, the group’s fundraising efforts and the work of eight other UK runners now means that those living with or affected by cancer in Hampshire will receive vital support.
Sally Hall from Wessex Cancer Trust said: “It’s a colossal achievement to complete a marathon and everyone at WCT would like to offer our thanks and congratulations for this tremendous fundraising effort.”
