WORK will begin tonight to resurface the A303 in Hampshire, resulting in traffic disruption.

The work will be carried out overnight until Wednesday, July 9, on the A303 between the A34 at Bullington Cross and Micheldever Station.

Work will take place from 10pm-6am with no work at weekends.

From today, for eight nights, work will take place on the eastbound carriageway. Work will take place on the westbound carriageway for 15 nights from Tuesday, June 10, returning eastbound for six nights from Tuesday, July 1.

During the work, the A303 will be closed in one direction at a time between the A34 and the M3.

Drivers travelling west will be directed on to the M3 to junction 9 or south on the A33 to access the A34 northbound, rejoining the A303 westbound at Bullington Cross.

Road users travelling east will be diverted on to the A34 at Bullington Cross.
