MOTORISTS are facing delays after a car ended up on its roof following a crash on a major Hampshire motorway.

The three vehicle collision happened on the M27 between junctions four for the M3 and five for the A335 Wide Lane and Southampton Airport of the eastbound carriageway shortly after 10am.

As a result a black Renault Clio was left upside down in lane three.
Police said people were out of the vehicles and walking around and there were minor injuries, but the accident is blocking lanes two and three at the spot.

Lanes two and three have now reopened after being closed as police awaited the recovery of the vehicles, which is causing queuing traffic.

South Central Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance which assessed and treated a woman who was taken to Southampton General Hospital with an arm injury.
