HUNDREDS of fans queued to meet pop star Peter André today as he visits a Southampton shopping centre.

The Mysterious Girl singer, who has sold more than one million records, was signing copies of his latest album in WestQuay Shopping Centre this afternoon.

His tenth album, Big Night, is out now and his special appearance in Southampton is one of a number of promotional dates across the country.

His new album is a departure from his previous sound, combining elements of big band and soul.

Daily Echo:

He will be supported by a ten-piece band on a 23-date nationwide tour starting in September, which features a gig at Bournemouth International Centre on October 3.

André visited Southampton last July to film his 60 Minute Makeover show in Radstock Road, Woolston.

That just about sums up the intelligence of your average Sotonian. If a famous philanthropist, author or artist was in West Quay nobody would care less but some talentless chump with a 6 pack turns up and its chaos.
Very sad.
