A CHALLENGE to get kids into the countryside will see them get poetic.
Fareham Borough Council is calling on under-16s to write poems about summer, which will then be displayed on Warsash Common’s poetry path.
This will mean a one to two mile walk featuring the verses from local children.
It ends with a number of poems hanging from the branches of a prominent oak and provides an additional challenge for the contributing poets to locate their poem.
Submit poems to the Countryside Service, Fareham Borough Council, Civic Way, Fareham or email to publicity@fareham.gov.uk.
