SOME of the most iconic landmarks across the district will be opening their doors to Winchester dads.

To celebrate Father’s Day on June 15, Winchester City Mill will be hosting special baking demonstrations using the mill’s own stoneground flour giving fathers and their children the chance to make beer, bread and cheese straws.

The mill will be open from 11am-4pm, with a normal admission charge, and further information can be found by calling 01962 870057.

There will be a full tour of the mill to witness how it is fuelled by the River Itchen as well as the chance to try and spot some of the resident otters.

Hinton Ampner is also hosting a day of fun-filled activities.

There will be woodland walkways, track hunts and insect-searches. The tea room will also have a range of cakes and treats on offer.
