Daily Echo: Dozens take part in naked bike ride Dozens take part in naked bike ride

DOZENS of people took part in Southampton's eight annual Naked Bike Ride today.

Around 50 cyclists took part in the nude event, organised within just six weeks, to protest environmental issues and cycling safety.

The six-mile route took them around Southampton Common via Portswood and the city centre.

And the start of the ride drew a crowd of hundreds of people who applauded and cheered as they set off on their unique tour of the city.Daily Echo:

not sure why they thought the 70th anniversary of D-Day was a good choice for this event ... I support the event 100% , do not think it disrespectful , but maybe not the best choice to compete on a news day where attentions are fixed on more serious matters.

Is it starting from the Primark store again ? If I recall correctly, it did last year. Subliminal advertising springs to mind. Or maybe rejection !
