A SERIES of events will take place in Hampshire as part of Carers Week.

Carers Week, which will run from June 9 to 15, is being held to raise awareness of the work carried out by carers across the UK.

There will be information stands at Southampton General Hospital on Monday and Marks&Spencers and Sainsburys in Hedge End on Tuesday.

Also on Monday the Abbey Garden Centre in Mill Lane, Fareham, will host a coffee morning from 10am to noon while there will be afternoon tea at Bayside Cabin in Stokes Bay Road, Gosport, from 2pm-4pm.

From 2pm to 4pm on June 10 at Manston Court in Lordshill there will be a special event with the Memory Cafe and Admiral Nurses.

Then on June 12 the Third Age Centre in Cranbury Terrace, Southampton, will host an Asian carers cafe.

On June 13 a fish and chips lunch will take place at St Marks Institute in Victoria Road, Woolston, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
