A MAN on a night out in a Hampshire town was pushed to the floor and repeatedly kicked and stamped on outside a kebab shop.

The 32-year-old man suffered a fractured jaw and bruising when he was attacked following a row with two men.

Investigating officer DC Samantha Gee, from Fareham Police Station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to come forward.

“This was a violent attack outside a kebab shop that would have had passing trade.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see these men having an altercation?

“We are particularly interested in hearing from three women who saw what happened but left before police arrived, as we believe they may have important information that could help with this investigation.”

The incident was in the early hours of Sunday, June 1, between 1.30am to 1.55am, on the corner of Brockhurst Road/Cambridge Road in Gosport.

Two men from Gosport have been arrested in connection to this incident and bailed until July 10.

Anyone with any information can contact DC Samantha Gee at Fareham Police Station on 101, quoting 44140191799.
