Moped thief Carl Rogerson jailed by Southampton Crown Court
A SOUTHAMPTON man didn’t get far when he took a moped from a front garden – he couldn’t start it and wheeled it around the corner where he abandoned it, having damaged the number plate in the process, the city Crown Court heard.
Carl Rogerson, 24, of Coxford Close, Southampton, admitted the aggravated taking of the vehicle as well as stealing tools and a bicycle from two sheds elsewhere.
Recorder Patrick Clarkson QC activated a 17 months suspended sentence and jailed Rogerson for 23 months.
