CROWDS watched as a giant acrobatic wheel rolled down Eastleigh High Street and performers suspended themselves above an audience.
The town had come together for Eastleigh Unwrapped, a day of aerial theatre, circus acts, live music and dance.
In its second year, the event is organised by The Point theatre and is part of the Recreate programme, which aims to boost economic regeneration and create jobs through the creative industries.
Venues throughout the town opened their doors to host activities.
Residents climbed inside an enormous whale, listened to buskers and helped build a flying machine.
Headlining the event was performance group Square Peg, which combined music and dance to tell their interpretation of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s epic poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
