THE Old Alresford Cottage care home near Alresford is holding a barbecue and open day on June 21.
The idea behind the National Care Home Open Day is to encourage local people to visit care homes to develop better relationships.
Food and refreshments will be on offer including a hog roast and there will also be entertainment.
Michael Larmour, general manager, said: “This is a great way to showcase our superb facility, the excellent services and care. Some people still have misconceptions about care homes, so we are keen to dispel any myths that are out there.”
It runs from 10am to 4pm.
